One of Hibari's earlier songs, this one was recorded when she was 14 years old. I recently got hold of the original sheet music autographed by her, so I thought I'd make a little clip of it. I've conbined the song with photos of Hibari's teen years, parts of the sheet music which goes in sequence with the recording, and also some of her movie posters of the era. Please Enjoy!
As requested by BlackBeltJohnson of Canada!
This version is recorded a decade and a half after the original Ringo Oiwake.
Due to this being an old record, the sound isn't good, but anyway I think it's a rare version.
Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!!
Recorded 1st Dec. 1953
The building which appeares at 2;32 with the letters "????????????" is located in Moscow about 10 minutes walk from the Red Square. I accidentally stumbled upon it while I was in Moscow. (I got these random Christmas photos from flickr so I had no idea where it was!!)
In this footage from 1952, Hibari sings the Japanese versiton of the Latin American tune 'El manisero' or 'The peanut vendor song' as commonly known around the world. Hear her hit the high F? at the end=0 !!
