A Mexican gem. My first 'long' piece, not too many notes, but a good exercise to learn how to tell a story in music, I hope, apart from the gluuups at the end (darn!), that it shows! Thank you, Eduardo, for composing this beauty and allowing me to post it.
My modest tribute to the best Dutch-speaking writer, poet, who sadly passed away today, March 19, 2008. His name is Hugo Claus.
On a more joyful note: this is also dedicated to Julissima (jnclassicalguitaris t) cause I know she likes Lágrima! :)
Feel free to comment (constructively)!
I hope you enjoy this small delight from Aguado. I do like to play this one!
This Valse is part of Aguado's Método para guitarra; the score can be downloaded for free: http://www.kb.dk/en/ nb/tema/fokus/rbs.ht ml
The great thing about Mr. Sor: YOU'RE NEVER SATISFIED HOW YOU PLAY IT!
All the notes count, I didn't really miss any but still...
I'm sure I will play this differently in my next life!
In the meantime, enjoy, criticize, comment, don't be shy!
I like this study very much! It is not played that often here.
Hope you like it too!
An easy Aguado study with a nice melody. It can be played slightly faster but I prefer it like this to accentuate the bass notes. Any constructive criticism is more than welcome.
The first Estudio Sencillo - Leo Brouwer. I think I might post them all in due time, great to play for rookies like myself. "Movido" is the tempo marking. Self-explanatory. Thanks for watching, don't be shy to comment!
Recorded in a small church in the South of France. I started playing the classical guitar in February 2007. This famous study is the first piece my teacher asked me to learn. There is no repeat. I Hope you still enjoy it!
Yours humbly, my version of the popular D Major study, better known as "Segovia N°6". This is not the Segovia version though, the original is slightly different.
As a beginner, I really should concentrate on his Op. 60 (easier), but hey: I like this one! Let me know what you think.
Hi all!
Back to business after a long Youtube silence!
I still haven't surpassed the Aguado-Sor-Carcassi mountain, hope you like this ultra famous study with it's enchanting melodic wave.
Thanks for watching and your reactions!
Big hug!
Vabejas
I took some rythmical freedom with this little Rag!
Maria Linnemann is a wonderful composer and I hope she doesn't find me the clown here!:)
Thanks for your creations Maria!
Please have a look as well on http://nl.youtube.co m/MguitarL (Maria's channel) for more music from her.
Guillermo Gomez, born in Malaga in 1880, moved to Mexico to introduce the "Tarrega-technique". This small piece "Plegaria" (= plea, prayer) for me has a indeed a certain Tarrega-feel (Adelita) about it. The playing is still far from perfect, some rough edges, unclear harmonics. I decided to leave it like this and hope you enjoy it anyway.
I'm a big Dyens fan, unfortunately most of his music is rather unplayable (for me). He wrote 20 "Lettres", quite accessible for my level, great music. I hope you enjoy this blues, played in front of the fireplace. It's cooold and wet in the South of France! Regards, Vabejas
