Heifetz in his prime, playing Saint-Saens' Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso. From the 1939 movie, "They Shall Have Music". Possibly the best bit of fiddle playing from him I have ever seen. The slow sections reflect his wondrous capability for expression.

Beautiful and very challenging piece by Felix Mendelssohn (Rondo Capriccioso in E major, Op.14 [1824]). I have yet a long way to go with this piece; but like with the other vids, we will post a 2nd one in a few months. Hope you like it despite.
