The first of the series to hit the Megadrive, Thunderforce II is Tecnosoft's quite good conversion from the X68000 original to Sega's machine. It features both side scrooling and 8 way top down levels, wich was quite unique at the time (1988). Loads of excelent weapons!

Thunderforce 3 is Technosoft sequel to its previous game (obviously...does it show I write this stuff half asleep?), ditching the top down levels and concentrating on horizontal scrolling ones. And its hard, really, really hard! But extremely good, regardless.
