I found this while vacationing in South Africa. It claims to be the world's fastest, highest, longest, steepest zip line. The specs are in the video. It was a lot of fun and not too scary. Except when you are looking down from the top of the mountain.
Chris Wheeler, a Tourism BC Field Reporter, is recommended to head up to Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver, BC and rip down the Zip line... there is a hard hit at the end! http://www.hellobc.c om/vancouver

A zip-line (also known as a flying fox, zip wire, aerial runway, death slide or tyrolean crossing) consists of a pulley suspended on a cable mounted on an incline. They are designed to enable a user propelled by gravity to traverse from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable, usually made of stainless steel, by holding on or attaching to the freely moving pulley.
