Students, many from the provinces, look for cheap and convenient places to stay in the heart of Manila. But sometimes the trade-off for affordable living spaces is to practically risk their lives. Such abodes are terribly cramped, lack fire exits, and are in such a decrepit state these might as well be condemned. Who should protect students against living in such apalling conditions?
