A powerful suicide car bomb attack in the Afghan capital Kabul, wounded at least three on Monday. The bomber was being chased through the streets by police when he detonated his explosives on an empty street, resulting in few casualities.
A British civilian was injured on Monday when insurgents carried out a rocket attack on a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the centre of the southern Iraqi city of Basra. The civilian was travelling in the car, thought to belong to a foreign civilian company.

270 dismissed Iraqi policemen in Samawa gathered on Sunday and marched toward the Samawa governorship to protest their discharge from work. The policemen were dismissed for an undisclosed reason. Security guards blocked protesters at the governorship, opening fire to disperse the crowd.
