Paul Livingstone performing a requinto solo. This is a modified requinto jarocho (small Mexican guitar) made without frets (sin trastes) in the Festival Olmeca from San Andres Tuxtla. The performance is an improivsation with influences of Indian & Middle Eastern music and includes solkattu (South Indian rhythmic recitations).

This Raga Jazz piece 'Peloraga' has an influence of gamelan music thus the combination of Pelog (an Indonesian scale) & Raga in the title. Concert presented by Casa de la Cultura Bharitya Vidya Bhavan of Mexico City.
This is a compoistion by mridangist Poovlur Srinivasan in a 63 beat rhythmic cycle believe or not! If you don't believe it count 3 bars of 4/4 then 3 bars of 5/16 or one bar of 15/16. The whole piece adhers to this tala (cycle) even the swinging solo section.
