heaven 17 startet at the beginning of the 80s in sheffield. the name "heaven 17" is from anthony burgess' book "a clockwork orange", where he wrote about a fictitious popband with the same name. members of heaven 17 were ian craig marsh und martyn ware, after they left the band the human league. the third member was the singer glenn gregory.
