The sign-off announcement is rendered by longtime WRAL weatherman Bob Debardelaben, who would retire a few years later. After that comes the "Flag Evolution" National Anthem film, featuring vintage images of United States history.

Debuting here is KCTS 9 Seattle's classy sign-off message from 1985 though this same sign-off was used by the station going back to the start of the 1980s. I'm not familiar with the piece of music that plays under the sign-off, but perhaps one of the classical music enthusiasts who view the clip will recognize it and comment.
