Sanu ik pal chain na aawe sajjna tere bina. Great qawwali by Late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Try to listen on a good sound system. There is some great Tabla in this clip!
One of the few songs that can make you cry. Both the writer and the singer do this song Justice. I like Ustad Khan Sahib's version much more than I like Jagjit Singh's. I made some effort on this to get the meaning accross. it took me a long time to fine the translation and I thank Nusrat fateh ali khan fan club on yahoo music group for the help. I hope you all like it. Thanks
Heart renching, painful and truthful. Shiv kumar Batalvi at his very best. This is a rare find and yes it is the Poet himself singing. Arguably the best Punjabi poet ever.
Recorded at a live concert "Dead man walking - Not in our name" recorded in 1998. Please resepect the artist. Do not compare Rahat to Late Ustad. We all know his untimely death robbed Rahat of many years of valuable lessons.
