Showing the first two stages of the rare and obscure Castlevania arcade game, Haunted Castle. I am playing the Japanese version, Akumajou Dracula, which is slightly easier and more enjoyable than the near impossible US version.
The fighting game installment of the ultra hilarious Cho Aniki shooter series which started on the PC Engine (Turbo Graphx). This one is like Dragon Ball Z on crack! I love weird games such as this!

A VERY strange and hilarious NES/Famicom Gradius rom I found that seems to be based on that freaky shmup series, Cho Aniki, the one with the half naked men shooting beams out of their heads. Unfortunately the game glitched up on me when I beat the 5th stage so the video stops at that point. Well enjoy shmuppers!
A great Konami shooter that never had a home version. The Western release is missing all of the cool power ups and one bit of gameplay (moving your options) that makes the original Japanese version fun.
A great and unique platformer/shmup hybrid from the house of Karnov and Bad Dudes. Lost all lives at Stage 3. That second boss got me on my nerves! I haven't played this one in ages so I need to practice again. I'll do a complete run with this game when I get better at it.

The only port of the 1987 arcade Konami shmup. This was Konami's official X68000 debut. The Konami games for this computer released before it like Gradius and Twinbee were actually reprogrammed by Sharp.
An excellent shmup from Wolfteam (El Viento, Earnest Evans, Granada) for the Sharp X68000. Worth playing alone for the killer Motoi Sakuraba soundtrack (Tales, Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile). Was later released for the Sega CD/Mega CD with enhanced music and additional cutscenes but has inferior graphics and sound effects compared to the X68000 original shown here.
This will definitely be mine when it comes out next month. It has EVERY Metal Slug game including this year's Metal Slug 6. If you want it, I highly recommend getting this before you get a Wii because SNK is like Atlus when it comes to print runs. 2D games sell out fast these days.
