Footage of the opening 2.5 minutes of "Championship Wrestling from Georgia" which aired 9/8/84. This was the return to the WTBS studios for Gordon Solie and Ole Anderson following "Black Saturday" seven weeks earlier. Also featuring Bob Geigle and Fred Ward.
On August 4, 1984, three weeks after "Black Saturday", NWA Wrestling returned to WTBS in an early morning time slot. These are the opening moments of that show. Note that despite the huge changes, Ole and Solie act as though nothing has happened, making the decision to ignore the controversy and move forward.
This promo aired on 9/8/84, the first show back in the WTBS studios for "Championship Wrestling from Georgia" and was for a big show in Baltimore as a promotional war was raging between the WWF and the NWA.
On 7/21/84, the week after "Black Saturday", Ole Anderson quickly put together a TV taping at WMAZ-13 in Macon GA. The show was called "World Championship Wrestling 84" and was syndicated to local Georgia markets such as Columbus, Albany, and Macon as well as others. The title was changed to "Championship Wrestling from Georgia" two weeks later.
The show originally titled "World Championship Wrestling 84" took the name :Championship Wrestling from Georgia" weeks later. It was a different show than the show by the same name that aired on WTBS. This show was taped at WMAZ-13 in Macon GA. This is the opening theme sequence for that show. (8/18/84)
