Sitting on the rooftop at my Dad's place in Hong Kong. I won'tget much of a chance to play over the next 2 months so here is a really sloppy take on Leadbelly's EasyRider/C.C.Rider.
this is my attempt at robert johnson's "preaching blues (up jumped the devil)", yeah it ain't too crash hot, but i can see a lot of folks sticking their bedroom jams up on youtube so i figured i may as well be part of it!
I'm a little scratchy it seems, so i have a lot more playing to do! thought i'd upload this anyway. I'm a big fan of Johnny Winter and was listening to "Blues this bad" today and thought i'd try pull off a few of the riffs - even bought some new strings!
Apologies it gets quite sloppy towards the end
ha! this is kinda funny! just had a "are we gonna break up?" call with my girlfriend, so am/was in the head space to play a little blues, and the line "..its so hard to love someone who don't love you..." got me playing some sort of Death letter blues - then the iSight camera got emotional and lots its footing!
Just outside Denver we tried to find a spot for a bit of toboganing!
We didn't manage to find a tobogan, so Jez settled for the sun shade cloth in the back of the car.
Keep in mind the man is only in shorts & thongs (flipflops) and its freezing!
The last night & day of Bec & Jez's HK adventures took them out to Lan Kwai Fong & dim sum with Bessie. It was so great to spend time with these guys having not seen them for 6 months. Best of luck with your trip through Mexico! See you in Las Angeles soon!
Day 03 took Bec & Jez out to Lantau Islnd to see the big Buddha and experience the greatness that is "Cable Car". However, it was so freakin foggy you couldn't see 50 M in front of you!
Later on we headed over to Admiralty to the temporary Amusement Park thingo
on Saturday night i went with Bessie, Wenda and Derek to Lantau island to check out the Balloon festival they had going.
The idea is that you write your wish on a balloon and send it off into the sky and it might come true.
We got the record for the most airtime!
