All my radium watches have been disposed of properly. This is demonstration of the radioactivity from a radium-containing 1950's Timex watch dial, using Geiger counter.
Shows that even with removal of the radioactive dial and hands of a vintage Timex watch, the case/movement/caseba ck -- all which is left -- still has radioactivty. The dust from the radioactive dial/hands paint has made its way into the rest of the watch, over the years.
