A female baboon (with baby in tow) raids an "animal proof" garbage can in a rest area in Kruger Park, South Africa. It seems funny except that you're not supposed to feed them, and there's a sign at the entrance that says "YOU FEED THEM, WE SHOOT THEM".
The descendants of escaped house pets, Amsterdam now has at least three flocks of green Indian Ringneck Parakeets living in parks and gardens throughout the city. They are very very shy, but they seem to have made themselves at home on our balcony.
As broadcast on CNN - my raw footage from St. Ann's church in Negombo, Sri Lanka, a few hours after the tsunami hit. The church was used as a refugee/evacuation center for locals and tourists, as it was on higher ground. At this point, we had no idea the body count was +200k. All we knew from rumors was that Sri Lanka had been hit, Galle had been flattened, and maybe 2,000 people were dead.
