My Vostro has a lot of static noise - feedback from the HD? - when using headphones. I thought this was bearable, but then I tried recording via the mic jack and discovered the static was also being picked up when recording too, and not only that, it was much louder. Lastly, I tried the mic jack monitor, and that was utterly unbearable. The static was literally drowning everything else out.

Demarrage Dell Vostro 1400 sous Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron en version B�ta.
On peut voir que Compiz Fusion marche bien (la carte graphique est une Intel GMA 965 avec X3100). Le son fonctionne lui aussi parfaitement, alors qu'il ne fonctionnait pas sous Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon.
