Recorded on July 26, 2008 using a Flip Video camcorder. This is the start of the Au Sable River Canoe Marathon here in Grayling Michigan. This race began in 1946 by a handful of people, who on a whim, paddled from Grayling to Oscoda on the shores on Lake Huron. It is one of the longest canoe races in North America. A great family event.

CMU POW WOW 4: Recorded on March 29, 2008 using a Flip Video camcorder. Opening ceremony. The warrior veterans lead the opening ceremony. Wonderful to see all generations taking part. Family is important. Notice drummer in center has his infant son in one arm and is drumming with the other arm. That really got to me.
