This is the original promo video for Kelly's song about a guy getting his life back together after his missus leaves him. "in A Silver Top/ to her door". Silver Top is a Taxi company (for anyone from overseas!). The Buttery (where 'he stayed about a year" is a detox place in NSW. "On Olympic/To her door" is a reference to the bus company, Olympic.
Hunters and Collectors were quickly becoming contemporaries of Midnight Oil by this stage and even did backup band for U2 when they came out to Oz in the early 90s. Cool Band.
"Daddy's Gonna Make You A Great Big Star" was a single from the 1992 collaboration album for Australian singers James Reyne, Darryl Braithwate and Simon Hussey.
Promo video for the Crowdie's last single, it came from the farewell compilation "Recurring Dream". By this time Paul Hester had left the band, so he's missing here.
This single is from Black Sorrows singers Linda And Vika Bull's first Solo outing. The song was, I believe, written by Paul Kelly. (Missing the first 10 seconds...sorry!)
Joe Camilleri, Linda Bull and Vika Bull front an early line-up of the Black Sorrows -- showing why this is my FAVOURITE band ever, and such a great live act! This was filmed at the Channel 9 studios on the 22nd April 1989
This isn't the complete video (I must have hit record as soon as I saw it!) and the whole song is in its entirety with other people's live uploads. But since the video isn't up, it's worth uploading this bit of incomplete video. This vid was from "Together Alone" album.
