Spokane police made the decision to use a Taser to bring down a suicidal bridge jumper Friday after learning he had attempted to pull over an officer with him during a previous suicide threat elsewhere, the Spokane police chief said Wednesday.
Arthur Haines, 87, was found beaten in his home on March 1, 1993. The murderer set his home on fire in an attempt to hide the evidence. Police are still looking for the killer.
