A track from my 2007 Art and Music DVD, "Lanna Sacred Spaces One". I filmed and produced it in Chiang Mai, North Thailand (Lanna). It features traditional Lanna dance, with my original world music score. The parade was at Wat Wang Sing Kham, about 5km from my house.

The Renaat Ek (first xylophone) is the lead instrument in traditional Thai music. It has magical/energetic associations, such as the metaphorical ability to change the weather and overpower an adversary. I used this instrument in the music for this piece, which features local Thai girls dancing at Wat Wang Sing Kham festival in March 2007.
