Modern portion from 3rd Taoli Cup National Dance Competition, Junior division. Ji Pingping went on to take the only senior division gold at the 2000 Paris Ballet Concours. She is currently a principle at Shanghai Ballet. The music is from the 2nd mvmt of 1 of Chopin's piano concertos (if I recall correctly).

Mongolian Dance from the 4th Taoli Cup. Note the use of the skirt to show both galloping on the steppes and wind. At one point, the dancer seems to be looking out onto the vast plains. The dance should be about a minute longer but this version somehow cuts the beginning section out.
