They did not disappoint, and played a song that won a Grammy for Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway back in 1972 - Where is the Love. And they sounded great doing it. And on a rather brisk evening at this outdoor venue, the music chilled, as did the temperature. This was the first song of her set, and left the audience appropriately "Breathless". You'll have to forgive the camera shake...I guess I was enjoying the song so much I didn't pay attention to what I was doing. Just a great song from an amazing artist.

This was a total, but very pleasant surprise. John did a cover of this Beatle's track off their 1969 release Abbey Road. The song really picks up steam during the chorus with John pounding on the piano. If you look closely, you can see that it was a cool night in sunny California...watch for John's breath. After an extended hiatus, I was happy to see them reunite for a short tour in 2006, and fortunate to see them perform...still looking and sounding great.
