1/14/2007 - I'm at the Haneda Terminal 2 observation deck, having just arrived from Hiroshima on NH676. Here's an ANA B777-300 pulling into gate 58 at ANA's Terminal 2 at Haneda. As always, the PW4090 engines making that memorable vaccuum sound on taxi.
Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade! Kawaii! Everyone is saying.."Ahh..kawaii !" If you need a translation, "aww..how cute." Sorry, I don't understand what Micky said. But, Minnie said at first, "Ok, dream time will start now."
1/9/2007 - NH1291, JA708A, pulling into gate 38 at Seoul Gimpo International Airport. This will be my flight, NH1292, back to Tokyo. Asiana ground staff helping the aircraft to the gate. As my plane pulled in, the JAL flight was pushing back for it's flight back to Tokyo.
1/1/2007 - Onboard NH007 SFO-NRT. ANA now has a newer IFE system on their recently delivered planes. Here's a sample of the new Airshow 4200. I love the 3D plane that shows you where you are in real-time! We're about 30 minutes from landing on 34L at Narita.
It's a Small World at Tokyo Disneyland, but since it was November the whole park was in the Christmas spirit. So, this is the "Christmas Edition" of "It's a Small World."
I was walking through Yoyogi Park in Tokyo and visited a temple. Suddenly, a Shinto Wedding Procession passed by. It was such a good cultural learning experience. Or, a good Kodak moment..
I was walking in the middle of Ueno Park in Tokyo. And, I start hearing Inca music. Here is Hiro. Later that night, I saw a mariachi band at Akihabara. Who knew!
My little hotel room in the middle of Tokyo. When I mean little...the room was tiny. The camera made the bathroom look bigger than it actually was. I barely fit in the shower without hitting my head on the wall...and I'M SHORT! How they came up with the name Lornstar? I don't know..
visited Miyajima island near Hiroshima - including this aquarium. One exihibit is where a beluga will come and say "hello" when you stand in front of a window of their tank. They have such a happy look are are so cute! This one really wanted to say "hi" to me.
1/3/2007 - Today's flight is NH1291 from Tokyo/Haneda to Seoul/Gimpo. ANA, JAL, Asiana, and Korean Air offer shuttle service between Haneda and Gimpo in Seoul - the only scheduled daily international service from Haneda. Here is is a view of the small international gate area. The first flight out, JAL8831 currently boarding.
