Scotrail train 156434 on the 09.10 service from Kilmarnock to Stranraer on 8th September 2007 stops at Dunragit signal box and level crossing to exchange tokens, giving up the Glenwhilly token and obtaining the Stranraer token. A very old-fashioned practice not seen in many places these days. The noise is a tractor, seen at the end of the video.

The driver exchanges the Barrhill token for the Dunragit one, the signalman returning to his lonely signalbox for another two hour wait.

The Sleeper train Arriving into Aviemore from Inverness hauled by EWS 67018 'Rapid' .
While departing Aviemore the Driver gives me a toot and then on it's way to Edinburgh Waverly to join the other sleeper trains there.
The next day 67018 hauled the 1H03 Mossend-Inverness EWS 67 Parcels .
Scotrail 156501 on the 09.10 Kilmarnock to Stranraer service on 10th September 2007 heads down New Luce Bank between Barrhill and Stranraer. The train will have the metal token for the section Glenwhilly-Dunragit. A very strong wind was blowing, hence the noise throughout!
