Denny Hulme suffers a heart attack at the wheel of his BMW during the 1992 Tooheys 1000 at Bathurst.
Commentators speculated that he had hurt his neck, but he'd actually collapsed at the wheel.
The kiwi was the 1967 F1 world champion in a Brabham and was 56 at the time of his passing.

Kiwi Paul Radisich crashes at the exit of the chase. it was caused by intially running wide, but it is believed he had lost brakes and steering.
He broke an ankle, his sternum and a few ribs. He returned to racing the next year
Mike Fitzpatrick is involved in a huge crash at the top of the hill at Amaroo Park Raceway (this was not long before the track closed).
He is knocked offcourse by Brad Jones who was rushing trying to lap him. Cameron McConville misses the crash by inches.

An interesting OB, Peter Brock driving an M3 BMW around Sandown during the 500km race back in 1988.
Result was unknown, he didn't win however. Despite being famous for driving Holden's, he's has several starts in a BMW, and 8 in a Ford.
Brad Jones in the #12 BOC Falcon spins off into the gravel after an oil down from Paul Radisich's #021 Kiwi Commodore.
Brad subsequently rolls, for the second time in 2 races. Radisich is seen coming to his aid.
He was mocked a few weeks later on panel show V8 Superstars, where they bombarded him with Bread "Brad" Rolls.
Adelaide infamous Turn 8 bites 2 of the sports stars. Dumbrell in the #11 Perkins Commodore pushes Murphy (#51 SCAR Commodore) wide onto the grey and into the wall, and Skaife in the #2 HRT Commodore has no options but to hit the back of Murphy.
