Basically a magnetized spinning top above a circular magnetic base. With some fine tuning using metal and plastic washers you can make the gravitational down force equal to the repulsive upward magnetic force. Equals = levitation! The faster you spin it, th more stable you can make it, thus the longer it stays in the air. best i've got so far is 1min, 40s.

Suspended BB with LEDs using my levitator, the LEDs are powered from a coil wrapped around the steel BB, the base below the levitated object has a coil wrapped around it powered from an oscillator simular to those found in battery powered fluorecent lighting.

Illusionist Adam Milestone causes a cigarette to float in the air, even confining it in a water glass covered by the cigarette pack, thereby completely enclosing the cigarette in the water glass! And yet, it still defies gravity! Waving hands and hoops made by fingers also show there are absolutely no means of support!!! At the end the cigarette evens leans forward taking a well deserved bow!
