On June 3, 2007, I was shown a Fender "Aerodyne Strat" guitar at Moonlight Music in Encinitas, CA and it was love at first sight. Recently reconnecting with old college band buddies rekindled a passion for playing electric guitar that inspired the trip to the music store. This video is the reunion of a favorite old hobby with a beautiful new guitar.
I recount cherished memories from directing the Bright Ideas Children's Ministry at Unity Church of Clearwater (Clearwater, FL) from 1998 to 2003. Correction: Raina was actually minister's grandaughter, not daughter as stated. Speech delivered 12-14-07 at Del Mar Toastmasters.
I draw from my experience growing up during Vietnam and from the writings of General Smedley D. Butler to deliver this brief but powerful anti-war message. Correction: The word "Grecians" should have been "Greeks."
