Photo courtesy of iStockphoto, Mark Goddard Taking baby pictures is something I haven’t done very often and, in fact, the last time I did it was with a film camera. So it’s time to check out what others are doing with their digital cameras and babies. The article I found has quite a few very innovative ideas in it including the use of “macro” for baby pictures. Now I know that babies are tiny, but I never would have thought of using the macro setting for people pictures, but this digital photographer has some great ideas for using macro. Check out this article about digital baby pictures and then find, or make a baby, and try these techniques. It should be fun. Take a camera with you whenever possible, and look around, you’ll find a picture somewhere. See full article. Panasonic Announces Half Size Full Featured Digital SLR
New digital cameras are being released at a furious pace right now; probably in anticipation of the upcoming holiday season. Panasonic’s latest offering is another marvel of engineering, and while it is not a full frame digital SLR, it is a full featured “four thirds” sensor design, without a reflex mirror. What this means is that the camera is about half the size and weight of a conventional digital SLR. When you combine the advanced technology of this 12.1 megapixel camera with its superb array of Leica inspired lenses you have a killer package that is ideal for people on the go and with minimum space to spare. The Panasonic Lumix DMC G1 digital SLR will be available this November. Take a camera with you whenever possible, and look around, you’ll find a picture somewhere. Free Digital Photo Editing Tutorials
Although it isn’t absolutely necessary, post processing of your digital photo files allows you to fine tune and customize your images, so it’s important for digital photographers to learn how to use graphics programs. The references in this posting pertain, in general, to Adobe Photoshop products, however, the lessons learned can be used with virtually any graphics programs. Many people find the thought of using digital photo graphics programs daunting but most of the features that amateurs will use are intuitive and easy to learn. Remember too that any change you make can quickly be undone and an alternative tried. Please keep your original files intact and unaltered, in a separate folder, so you can always start fresh if you screw something up. Make copies of the files you want to manipulate, assign an additional symbol or word, such as “copy”, to the file, and put them in a different, working, folder. What I like about this series of digital photo graphics editing tutorials is that they concentrate on the most commonly used tools. This is another great site with information on the use of digital photo graphics programs. Take a camera with you whenever possible, and look around, you’ll find a picture somewhere. Secret Canon Digital Camera Trade In Program
I’ve often said that I don’t understand the way big business operates and here’s another example of why. Canon has an unusual trade in program that allows owners of older Canon digital cameras to upgrade to a few of their more upscale, out of production, digital cameras. What’s unusual to me is that the program is not being advertised and your trade in does not have to be in working condition. They will even accept a Canon S10 and $275.00 towards a refurbished Rebel XT and lens kit. I saw a Canon s10 on eBay going for 2 bucks just now. It might be worth buying a similar camera just to qualify for the program because you’re not going to find a digital Rebel, used, much less refurbished to new, for $275.00. The article I saw said you had to provide the serial number so I don’t know if the trade in had to be previously registered by the person who wants to trade in. A call to Canon can get an answer to that question. Here’s the link to the Canon digital camera trade in offer. Take a camera with you whenever possible, and look around, you’ll find a picture somewhere. Source:www.images.digitalcamerainfo.com See full article.
